From around 2500 BC, the Assyrians emerged as a powerful civilization in northern Mesopotamia, renowned for their military strength and resilience. Shaped by life in a colder, mountainous environment and the need to defend themselves against wild animals, Assyrian society developed a highly disciplined warrior culture. Skilled in warfare and siege tactics, they expanded their influence across the region. The Assyrians also adopted cuneiform writing from the Sumerians and left behind remarkable monumental architecture and relief art.

The Assyrian Vase draws inspiration from a historic Assyrian relief dated to 716–713 BC, depicting the transportation of Lebanon cedar to the Assyrian capital Dur-Sharrukin. The original artwork is exhibited at the Louvre Museum in France.

Crafted from handmade glass, the Assyrian Vase features raised relief patterns that are entirely hand-decorated using gold gilding and antique-effect paints, reflecting exceptional artisanal craftsmanship and a timeless archaeological narrative.
