Magnificent Ottoman kaftans—crafted from prestigious court textiles such as kemha, velvet, çatma, seraser, diba, and atlas—truly earned the status of palace fabrics. Woven in imperial ateliers and adorned with patterns designed by the elite Hassa court painters, these garments reflected the refined sensibility of Ottoman sultans—emotions and meanings expressed through motifs, embroidery, ornamentation, and masterful weaving.

From these court designs—rich patterns, textiles, stitchwork and woven compositions—an enduring legacy of aesthetic refinement and elegance has filtered through centuries and reached us today.

Inspired by pine cone forms, long associated with fertility and abundance in Mesopotamian symbolism, and by the timeless paisley pattern, the Vase reinterprets this heritage through glass.

Crafted from handmade cream opal glass, the piece features raised relief motifs meticulously hand-decorated using gold gilding and glass paints, presented with exceptional hand craftsmanship.
