Inhabited nearly 9,000 years ago, the Neolithic settlement of Çatalhöyük (Konya) is one of the world’s most significant early urban communities. As a unique witness to major social transformations—such as the transition to settled life, the beginnings of agriculture, and the development of hunting traditions—Çatalhöyük was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012.

The bull-head figure featured on the vase reflects a powerful symbol used throughout history to represent divinity or protective force and the idea of rebirth. Since the Neolithic era, bull heads were hung on the walls of homes and sacred spaces as meaningful ritual elements.

Across the body of the vase, a dynamic “bull-hunting depiction” is portrayed, inspired directly by scenes found in Çatalhöyük wall paintings, bringing the visual narrative of prehistoric Anatolia into a refined contemporary object.

The Çatalhöyük Vase is crafted from handmade glass, and all raised relief motifs are meticulously hand-decorated using 24-carat gold gilding, showcasing exceptional artisanal craftsmanship.
