In Ottoman textile art, from the 15th to the 20th century, Seljuk-inspired motifs were widely used, forming countless compositions with stylized floral elements of Far Eastern origin such as the lotus, palmette, and hatayi. An important collection of Ottoman textiles and velvets is exhibited at the Topkapi Palace Museum.
