For centuries, painted ornamental decoration has held a central place in the visual language of civic, religious, military, and architectural monuments—shaping both interior and exterior spaces with timeless elegance. Rooted in the heritage of Central Asian artistic traditions and later flourishing across Anatolia, this refined art form became one of the most important expressions of classical ornament.

Designed in inspiration of the painted decorations of the Tomb of Sultan Mehmed III, the Calligraphy Bowl unites sacred calligraphy and classical ornamentation in a balanced composition. A border band written in Kufic script repeats the names “Allah” and “Muhammad,” while the body features the names of the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs, reflecting spiritual symbolism through harmonious design.

Crafted from handmade glass, the Calligraphy Bowl is finished with raised relief motifs that are meticulously hand-decorated using gold gilding and glass paints, showcasing exceptional artisanal mastery.
