Mevlana Jalal al-Din Rumi, who opened new horizons for humanity through ethics, spirituality, knowledge, and reason, is often described as a divine light—a spiritual sun. His greatest message to human thought is one of Love, Compassion, and Unity.

Rumi’s life philosophy is famously summarized in the words “I was raw, I was cooked, I was burned,” and his timeless teachings form the foundation of the “7 Advices” Collection. In Mevlana’s philosophy, these seven advices are expressed as:

  • Be like a river in generosity and helping others

  • Be like the sun in compassion and mercy

  • Be like the night in covering faults

  • Be like the dead in anger and hostility

  • Be like the earth in humility and modesty

  • Be like the sea in tolerance

  • Either appear as you are, or be as you appear

Inspired by the form of a seated dervish, the Dervish Sugar Bowl features the inscription “Ya Hazreti Mevlana” written in Jali Thuluth (Celi Sülüs) calligraphy. The decorative motifs are drawn from patterns found on Mevlana’s kaftan, bringing symbolic textile heritage into refined glass artistry.

The Dervish Sugar Bowl is crafted from handmade glass, and all raised relief motifs are meticulously hand-decorated using 24-carat gold gilding, showcasing exceptional artisanal craftsmanship and spiritual elegance.
