Bargello Carnation Weave Vase - Limited Edition
In Ottoman textile art, from the 15th to the 20th century, Seljuk-inspired motifs were widely used, forming countless compositions with stylized floral elements of Far Eastern origin, such as the lotus, palmette, and hatayi. Knowledge of Ottoman fabrics and weaving patterns has been preserved through historical sources, miniature paintings, and the careful conservation of Ottoman sultans' garments.
 
An important collection of Ottoman textiles and velvets is exhibited at the Topkapi Palace Museum. In addition, Ottoman fabric collections can be found in institutions such as the Mevlana Museum in Konya, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh, and the Louvre Museum in Paris.
 
The motifs on the Carnation Weave Vase are inspired by an Ottoman textile dated to the 16th century, featuring a multi-petaled framed medallion design, now held in the Bargello Museum in Florence.
 
Crafted from handmade glass, the Carnation Weave Vase features raised relief motifs meticulously hand-decorated using gold gilding, enamel, antique-effect paints, and textile elements, showcasing exceptional artisanal craftsmanship.
